Chukwuma Ekwelum
Chukwuma Ekwelum (“Chuks”) is an Instructional Coach for BetterLesson who strives to support participants in maintaining high skill and high will for the sake of meaningful, transformative student learning. An accomplished academic with experience leading schools at the middle and high school levels, he is a strong proponent for lifelong learning, collaboration, and honoring the perspectives of others. Chuks has always operated with the mindset that every child, regardless of racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic background, can succeed when provided with an appropriate level of support(s). He holds a B.A. in Creative Writing & Literature from Trinity College (Hartford, CT), a M.Ed. in Curriculum & Instruction (Secondary Education) from Boston College, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership & Policy Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
