Virtual Planning Session: Refining Your Back-to-School Approach for Hybrid Models

Presented by BetterLesson

Tuesday, September 1, 2020
1:00 - 1:45 PM EST

Over the past few weeks, districts across the United States began the start of the 2020-2021 school year. While most had hoped to return fully in-person, many districts were only able to adhere to CDC guidelines with a hybrid model. Hybrid scenarios present the greatest logistical challenges and instructional novelties. While much of the initial planning conversations focused on safety and sanitation, the conversation has begun to shift to helping educators create instructional models that can seamlessly transition from in-person to at-home learning.

From our collective experience working with educators to make the shift to distance and flexible learning, we’ve identified professional development priorities to help leaders and teachers identify where to focus their efforts as they prepare for the fall. Join Solution Designers and colleagues from across the country to:

  1. Reflect on the challenges and opportunities surfaced from distance learning in the spring and the preliminary challenges of returning this fall.
  2. Discuss key logistical considerations for implementing a hybrid model
  3. Identify strategies and systems for keeping students engaged whether online or in the classroom
